BDSM : กามารมณ์ภายใต้อำานาจและความเจ็บปวด / BDSM : Eroticism under Power and Pain

Abstract

จุดมุ่งหมายหลักของบทความนี้มีสองประการ ในประการแรกบทความนี้
ต้องการที่จะนำาเสนอ BDSM (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance
and Submission, Sadism and Masochism) จากมุมมองเชิงวิชาการ
เพื่อให้สังคมไทยได้รับรู้ถึงแนวคิดพื้นฐาน ลักษณะทั่วไปของกิจกรรม
และความสัมพันธ์แบบ BDSM โดยหวังว่าสังคมไทยจะมีความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับ
BDSM มากขึ้นและมองกิจกรรมดังกล่าวในภาพลักษณ์ใหม่ และใน
ประการที่สองบทความนี้ต้องการที่จะชี้ให้เห็นว่าในสังคมตะวันตกแรง
ขับเคลื่อนทางสังคมของกลุ่มผู้นิยม BDSM การศึกษาทางจิตวิทยาตลอดจน
สื่อเป็นปัจจัยสำาคัญที่ทำาให้ BDSM ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับหนึ่งและมี
พื้นที่ในสังคมในฐานะที่เป็นรสนิยมทางเพศเฉพาะกลุ่ม หรือเพศวิถีทางเลือก
ในขณะที่ในสังคมไทย BDSM ถูกตีกรอบอยู่ภายใต้ภาพลักษณ์และแนวคิด
ที่ว่า BDSM เป็นเรื่องของความวิปริตทางเพศและความผิดปกติทางจิต
ซึ่งถูกตอกยำ้าโดยหน่วยงานสาธารณสุขของรัฐ และสื่อบางสื่อ อีกทั้งแรง
ขับเคลื่อนทางสังคมที่ชัดเจนของกลุ่มผู้นิยม BDSM ในประเทศไทยยัง
ไม่เข้มแข็งพอในการที่ทำาให้สังคมไทยเข้าใจว่า BDSM คืออะไร จึงทำาให้
BDSM ในฐานะรูปแบบหนึ่งของเพศวิถีแทบจะไม่มีพื้นที่ในสังคมไทย

This article has two main aims. The first one is to introduce
a basic concept and characteristics of BDSM (Bondage and
Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism)
from an academic perspective, with an expectation that Thai
society would have a better understanding of and see BDSM
in a new light. The second one is to point out that, in Western
societies, the social movements of BDSM communities,
psychological studies on BDSM and media have been playing
important roles in the acceptance of BDSM as an alternative
sexuality of certain groups of people. In contrast, in Thai society,
BDSM is still regarded as sexual deviance and a psychological
disorder. This negative image of BDSM is emphasized by the
Thai public health agencies and the media. Moreover, there
has not been a clear and strong social movement from BDSM
practitioners in Thailand to make Thai society understand
what BDSM is about so far. As a result, it could be said that
BDSM as a genre of sexuality does not have a place in Thai
society, as it does in Western societies.
